Colmar Christmas Markets
The magic of Christmas in Colmar, first of all there’s the ambiance of the Old Town, illuminated and decorated like a fairy tale : a historic setting made magical by the Christmas illuminations which, in this festive period, blend harmoniously with the wonderful lighting designed to enhance the town’s heritage, and lay a soothing aura of light over the centre of Colmar.
Heidelberg Christmas Markets

Experience one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Germany in Heidelberg!
As you stroll through the picturesque alleyways and sights, you will discover numerous stalls selling enchanting gift ideas in various squares throughout the old town. If you are looking for sporting activity or want to skate a few laps hand in hand against the romantic backdrop of the castle, head to Karlsplatz. One of the most beautiful ice rinks in Germany, the Heidelberg Ice Rink offers you winter skating fun.
Nuremberg Christmas Markets
“You men and women who were once children too, be children again,” says the Christkind, as it greets its guests on Nuremberg’s Main Market Square to open the Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt. And the Christkind knows what it’s talking about: With a little childlike joy the Christmas decorations, “Rauschgold” angels, wooden nutcrackers, nativity scenes and colorful stars are all the more attractive as you stroll through the romantic illuminated lanes of the Christkindlesmarkt. After you’ve bought a souvenir for the folks back home, you shouldn’t miss the delicious treats at the market: Original Nuremberg gingerbread and Nuremberg bratwurst are a must.

Munich Christmas Markets
The roots of the Christkindlmarkt are said to date back to the 14th century - to the so-called St. Nicholas markets. The first documented mention of a so-called „Nikolaidult” takes us back to 1642 in Kaufingerstraße near the Schöner Turm.
In the course of the Enlightenment, the “Nikolaimarkt” was renamed “Christmarkt” in 1806 and - after several changes of location - found its permanent place in the heart of the city in 1972 as the „Münchner Christkindlmarkt”.

The historic Salzburg Christmas market on Domplatz and Residenzplatz celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2024. Its unique location in the heart of Salzburg’s UNESCO World Heritage Site, the traditional market stands and its long history make it one of the oldest and most beautiful Advent markets in the world.

Hallstatt Christmas Markets
All who come from Hallstatt recognise the special charm of this little World Heritage community on Lake Hallstatt. The village takes on an extra charm during the Advent/Christmas season.
The romantic Christmas Market on the market square is, each year, the highlight of the Advent season. The market is organised by the people of Hallstatt and Obertraun and offers a diverse mix of traditional craft. Regional music groups accompany the market and bring a special Christmas atmosphere into Hallstatt.
