Tuscany is especially well suited to a destination wedding that feels like a shared Italian vacation. Rather than having guests fly to Italy for a single event, Scenic Route Travel can create a week around the celebration—wine country, beautiful villages, long Italian dinners and plenty of time together.
Day 1 — Benvenuti in Toscana 🍷
Guests arrive in Florence and transfer to the wedding hotel, villa or countryside resort. Allow the afternoon for check-in and relaxation. In the evening, host a casual welcome aperitivo with Tuscan wine, antipasti and beautiful countryside views.
Day 2 — Discover Tuscany
Plan an optional group experience through the countryside. A great combination would be Siena and San Gimignano, with time for sightseeing, shopping and lunch. Finish with a winery visit and tasting before returning to the accommodations.
Day 3 — A Taste of Tuscany 🍝
Make this the fun, social day before the wedding. Guests could participate in a private pasta-making class, visit a local farm, enjoy an olive-oil tasting or have lunch at a vineyard. The evening can be reserved for the rehearsal dinner and immediate family.
Day 4 — The Wedding 💍
Keep the morning free for breakfast, spa time and relaxing by the pool. Thursday — Welcome to Cancun 🌺
Guests arrive at Cancun International Airport and transfer to the selected resort. After check-in, everyone has time to settle in, explore the property, enjoy the beach and pools, and relax. In the evening, host an informal Welcome to Mexico gathering with cocktails, appetizers, and an opportunity for guests to meet one another.
Friday — Cancun Together ☀️
After breakfast, guests can join an optional group experience such as a private catamaran cruise to Isla Mujeres, snorkeling excursion, cenote adventure, or resort beach day.
